Dr. Stephen L. Huber is a highly results-oriented senior level IT and Business professional with outstanding expertise in the fields of Advanced Information Technology, Applications Development and Integration, Account and Client Management, Vendor Negotiation, and Visionary Strategic Planning.
Steve has built extensive credentials as Chief Technology Officer (CTO) for both large and small enterprises -- including Lockheed Martin and International Business Systems Group (IBSG) -- where he was the corporate leader for the research and development of all web-centric applications, database administration, multimedia technology, and provision of the latest technology within the Web and multimedia environment.
Steve has also worked with clients on contracted IT projects including Walt Disney Company’s migration of all mainframe processing, and the Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) conversion from mainframe to client/server technology. He also maintains his own consulting firm IT Solutions Concepts where he concentrates on providing advanced multimedia technologies in support of Event Management, strategic planning for technological leadership, and education and training in the IT and financial services arena. Some of his more well known clients included Florida Hospital, Lockheed Martin, Walter Reed Army Hospital, and Bio-Technologies.
One of his most complex projects to date was with IBSG as CTO and COO with his leading edge development and selection of COTS products to pursue Electronic Commerce, mixing B2B commercial applications with multimedia animation and graphics. This far-reaching environment included the front line of technological deployment and the integration of significantly diverse product lines within a single customer enterprise application.
Encouraged by his personal and outstanding standard of excellence, Steve’s operational teams of 20 to 300 people have achieved many successes in information systems applications development, data center operations, advanced technologies deployment, marketing support, event management, and help desk management. He also displays, through leadership by example, outstanding organizational, analytical, and personal communications skills, including written, verbal, and presentation capabilities.
More recently Dr. Huber has accepted a full-time position as Graduate School Professor of Business Applications and Information Systems at Strayer University in Orlando where he is in his favorite environment – working with students every day.
Dr. Huber holds a BS in Applied Economic Statistics from the University of Alabama, an MS in Information Systems from the Florida Institute of Technology, and Executive MBA from Carnegie Mellon University, and a PhD in Information Systems Management from Nova University. He has also been published in PC Week, Network Computing, and other mainstream publications.
