David Carlin 

David Carlin is a senior-level sales, marketing, and business development executive with an exceptional record of leading businesses to major breakthroughs in achieving financial, operational, and market success.  David can be relied on to deliver consistently solid results for both startup and turnaround entities through his demonstrated ability to leverage relationships and build strategic alliances in support of company goals. 

With over 15 years experience in business development, marketing and sales, especially in the retail and consumer electronics industry, David has a rare knack of developing marquee client relationships and aligning products with strategic markets through optimal distribution channels from specialty dealers to mass markets.  His expertise is quite broad, ranging from direct and indirect sales, building distributor and sales rep networks, and with both B2C and B2B channels. 

Working with existing relationships at national and regional chains, price clubs, office superstores, specialty audio/video chains, cataloguers, and e-retailers, David is adept at developing effective Go-To-Market strategies for most any product category.  His ultimate strength is in building the sales networks to deliver orders and maximize revenue for his clients.

David has worked with a variety of organizations, including Timex, Sony, Psion, Denon, Pocketmail, Rolodex Corporation, Zoom, Blue Raven Technologies, and Dynatron in developing sales campaigns and rep networks to bring their products to wide retail distribution in the consumer electronics and computer products industries. 

He has built long-standing relationships with retailers throughout North America and can be assured of access to the executive and buying offices of such chains as Fry’s, ABC Electronics, Best Buy, 6th Avenue Electronics, Staples, CompUSA, Tiger Direct, DBL Distributing, MicroCenter, Target, Home Depot, Office Depot, J&R Electronics, HH Gregg, Wal-Mart, D&H, BrandsMart, Costco, Radio Shack, Amazon, and many more.

David was nominated and accepted for inclusion in WHo’S Who Registry of Executives & Professionals, and is a member of the Direct Marketing Association and the Sales and Marketing Executives International Association.   He holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Communications from the University of Connecticut, and attended the Graduate School of Business at the University of California – Los Angeles.
